Some things were sweet and some were sour. Service was not great and place needed a good clean. Food was average but certainly nothing to rave over - fine to fill the gap but nothing more. Best things were prawn crackers and fried rice if that helps.

The food was nice enough, nothing special but pleasant. It was some of the most expensive Chinese food I've have come across for a long time (I guess lack of competition allows this in a place like George Town).

Food is no where near as good as in Launceston Asian takeaways, quite tasteless and very ordinary. Prices are easily double that of Launceston as well. What costs $40 in Launceston costs us $87 here and we were disgusted with the quality and what was available.

We went there on Sunday nite as a group was planning a banquet meal the following Tuesday. We are vegan so wanted to check it out first. We were the only customers. Mrs Wu came out to work out that we only ate veges. They don't have noodles or dumplings. However there were some 'chow mein ' noodles. She said... More

If you are looking for something other than pub grub or standard takeaway store fish & chips or burger than this is a great alternative however watch the price. As a couple of dishes and some spring rolls can add up to $60+ quite quickly.

Had takeaway from here. Sweet and sour pork sauce was a pink colour and pork gave us diarrhoea. Fried rice had no added ingredients and was very bland. Beef and black bean was like a bland gravy with no black bean. Was very expensive and not worth it at all.

Lovely waitress. Excellent cooking although we were the only people there on a Thursday around 1.15 pm.

Like most Chinese restaurants these days, the menu has been "westernised" to suit the clientele. The Dragon House is no exception. The food is well cooked and well presented, and more to the point, very tasty. We have had a couple of functions there where we have had the banquet menu. It's great value and the food never seemed to... More

Recently went here for takeaway. There was only one menu item per container which is inconvenient as we like a mix of items but it would cost a fortune to buy a container of everything. There were prawns in the fried rice which wasn't states anywhere we could see and didn't realise until we got home so made that inedible... More

Great food, well prepared, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. A booking would be advisable in the busy season.
