We got takeaways for our family of 7 to go eat along the waterfront at sunset. Tried a variety of foods including the burgers, battered fish, grilled fish, salads and oysters. We had great service and everything was delicious and fresh.

We came at 4pm, were only customers inside and got served immediately no wait, though cooking time took about 10-15min. Shared a seafood basket between 2 and it was fabulous- cod cooked perfectly, juicy and not greasy, calamari and scallop were also a stand out....Hot chips weren’t great. Bought half a kilo of the Maloolaba Cooked king prawns - pricey at near $55/kg and while they lived up to their name (HUGE) they were not nice and did not taste fresh. Thankfully they were really happy to take on our feedback and offered us a refund. Would recommend the tartare sauce, it was delicious. Would not recommend the orange seafood sauce. We will definitely come back for the fish alone.More
Fish (grilled snapper) was dry and chewy, salads were a rip off and overpriced. Pumpkin salad with one piece of pumpkin. Chips were ok but have had better and would not go back.
We had been there twice and the food was excellent. Fast service and very friendly service Good for lunch or dinner Prawns are soooo fresh
We have taken away and also sat outside. It is very casual but the food is excellent for what it is. Locals travel distances to get their takeaways here. So that says a lot.
Thought we would give the Caloundra seafood market one more try but never again. Ordered a few different items for a picnic lunch but everything was overcooked, so oily and no taste to it what so ever. My mother loves prawn cutlets but these were...dreadful, burnt batter and way too oily. The prawn meat itself was a small portion of the cutlet. Chips were soggy and tobe honest way overpriced for crap food. Much better places on the coast to get seafood from, will not go back. I will say the staff were very friendly and polite in person and on the phone when ordering.More
It was our first night in Caloundra and we just wanted to grab some fresh seafood. Quality is very good, but extremely overpriced.
Gotta love a well made burger. But this one definitely isn’t. $11 for a burger with the works. Seafood markets at the bottom of Bulcock st Caloundra. Get them while there well made and fresh or perhaps not.lol
This fantastic seafood market is exactly that. There wouldn’t be an oceanic thing you couldn’t buy here. Incredible selection of fresh seafood and the fridges were jammed packed with foods from all over the country. I could honestly live here! Just sublime. There is the...option to have your fish cooked and that too was marvellous. Fresh salads complimented the amazing array of seafoods on offer. I bought fish and also some red emperor Fish wings which were to die for. Caloundra, you are one lucky town to have such a special place on your doorstepMore
Sadly had the worst Fish and Chips I’ve ever had here. My Daughters fish was raw…. The seafood was bland… the Oysters kilpatrik had so much sauce you couldn’t taste the oyster. And the tartare and seafood sauces were horrendous… they actually looked curdled. $200...meal and threw most of it in the bin…More
Sorry guys,we gave up coming her a year ago but I had a friend over from no and everything else was closed. So we ended up here for lunch about 12.30 today Parking right out front which is great for a change, friend parked in...the car park ,score again. Ok I ordered snapper for and drink for my friend and fish n chips and drink for me. Wait wasn’t too long and place wasn’t packed so we had a table outside, nice day, clean tables all good I collected the food ,opened big bags for very small trays. I must say $16.50 or a very small piece of orange battered fish and a small layer of chips. What’s the deal with the orange batter guys? Orange bight orange, bit of a turn off, snapper same thing and didn’t look much different to mine, same size, orange batter. Chips were nicely cooked tho The fish had no taste of anything, seemed like basa, it was like translucent jelly, that’s why I think it was basa. No value for money here ,wasn’t appetising,I tried to break off the end of my fish and the batter pulled right off and left the jelly like fish on the tray. Wasn’t nice at all not even filling Everything is over priced and poorly cooked,I’m still traumatised over that coloured batter. What’s in it? Too many chances, done. Sorry but if you like high priced fish n chips, orange batter and small servings then this is your place, I will stick to the best on the coast elsewhere Shop is clean, parking is plentiful in quiet times, lovely girl who Served me so not all badMore
I love this place...yes there may be a wait, but the wait is worth it...Never had a bad meal. The salt and Pepper Calamari is to die for! Chips always good! Seafood is stunning!
Waited almost 1/2hr for our food. Chips & battered fish were a funny yellow colour, soggy & oily. Calamari was chewy & rubbery. Serving size was good.
Fresh and clean and soooo many options. Cook it your self or have it cooked for you. Just wow lots of different things in this shop
This was extremely disapointing, basically thickened white sauce with some corn, a few peas and very small pieces of what looked like bacon, no fish or shellfish obvious, and greasy, probably fried bread.Absoluely terrible, all went in the bin.Unfortunately we had driven down to the beach to...eat it and it was absoluely terrible, all went in the bin.More
