Amazing food but service was terrible, when our group arrived for a set booking time told to head upstairs to the bar as they weren’t ready for us yet, no apology or explanation as to why, waited over half an hour to be called down...More

Dined here with a client in what surprisingly became my final dinner with them. This is a top Teppanyaki restaurant located inside one of Nelsons finest hotels. As always with Teppanyaki the experience is defined by the chef - and ours was great. A very...More

Awesome service from the sushi chef, my wife has certain dietary requirements and he was super attentive, making sure she could eat everything he prepared. His attention to detail was second to none. Would definitely go there again.

It was one of those meals that ticked all the boxes technically in terms of variety, freshness, presentation, and service. But just seemed to lack the soul or flavour or something, to qualify as exceptional.

Stayed at the Rutherford and decided to try this restaurant. Had a fish dish which was simple but very tasty and well prepared. Their green tea creme brulee was delightful. Service was a tad slow even though it was not to busy.

I'm not sure what happened to the restaurant. The last time we dined it was absolutely stunning. The chef (willz) was amazing. Friendly. Knowledgeable and very welcoming. The new chef needs more training. He kept talking about his sushi cafe's in nelson. Felt like there...More

Went there with some family to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We had two people in their 70's, my brother and I in our 40's, my brothers wife (vegetarian) in her 30's, and my son - who is 8. So a broad spectrum of...More

First of all we were told how busy they were and to order everything straight away. The restaurant was not full but the sushi bar was in front of the kitchen area. The actual fun sushi bar was on the other side of the room....More
