Perched over Nelson Harbour, the beautiful views of the Boat Shed are matched by the excellent cuisine and friendly staff.

This café is just by the sea with a good view. I ordered a seafood soup which tastes just right, no more no less. The staff is very friendly and patient for my requests.

Ate here with my wife for lunch. The setting overlooks the water and the restaurant oozed history. The soup was wonderful as were the salads we ordered. Nice place to stop - and enjoy a great meal.

It is located right on the highway just outside of the city center. It also offers a chef's menu or a la carte. We had an excellent dinner. Service was friendly.

We stopped here for tea and cake after passing it on the Ocean highway, the location is lovely and the cakes marvellous. Didn't order any other food, but looking at what came out of the kitchen it looked really good.

The white bait was good but the green salad that came with it was old and yellow! (I have spent many years in the fresh food business and know what you serve to diners and what you throw out - and I was been charged for reject salad). My partners meal was missing items that were included on the menu... More

This is a fun little cafe on the water in Nelson. Dinner was delicious serving lamb and fresh fish. We enjoyed a lovely sunset and watched boats returning to the harbor. . we were able to walk from our B &B. (a 10 min. walk). worked well since parking is limited.

My third time to this restaurant; twice for lunch and once for dinner - what a gorgeous spot it is on the water, the staff are friendly and professional and the food, well it just speaks for itself and the careful attention by the chefs .. this time for lunch as the restaurant was fully booked for dinner (no surprises... We have no problem making reservation and when we arrived we were seated on the outside balcony. The air is so fresh and the view is very lovely. We ordered some bruschetta - we feel this was a bit overpriced for $4 for a small bruschetta. I had pork belly for main and it was quite good. Service was prompt... More

This eatery is well worth the visit right on the water . Had a very good lunch with very fresh produce. Would recommend the salmon bruschetta, salad, prawn crepes and fish meal.
