Part of the wedding was held in this amazing Oamaru Stone Heritage Building. A wonderful setting with huge exposed rafters and the original timber floor. This venue was perfect for the wedding breakfast of approximately 150 guests but could have easily accommodated more. Could not...More

Restaurant looked abandoned. Chatting with locals it appears that it will remain closed. Cannot rate!! Note that the Facebook site for the restaurant has not been updated since 1 July 2012.

Ended up here on a rainy Tuesday at lunch time. We were looking for a warming pub lunch. This isn't a pub but the meal was excellent. Mr G had the soup of the day (oxtail) to start, followed by Colonial Goose - lamb leg...More

Loan & Merc is a fantastic venue. The interior is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. The only downside for me was that they don't cater very well for (semi) vegetarians nor dairy free problem children! Luckily I do eat fish. After much harrassment...More
