We had a cold crayfish with lemon here. It was delicious, cooked perfectly with firm flesh, excellent taste. Some of the best seafood we ever had. You can't beat the location. But for seafood sold out of a caravan, I have to say that we...More

This place, a tiny shed selling crayfish, is an institution. The following is some history: "Nin's Bin has been a favourite stop for kiwis heading up the coast from Christchurch to Kaikoura for many generations. The menu is simple - crayfish and mussels. Pair the...More

The location you cant get any better, right on the waters edge, it's not every trip we stop in but only as a once now and then treat as the price is getting high for a small crayfish.

You have to stop at Nin's Bin if you are traveling between Picton and Christchurch...fabulous!! Don't be thrown off by the shack-like appearance...inside is sparkling clean. Shelia helped us pick out our fresh "crayfish" (lobster), then steamed it with some garlic butter. We also had...More

Nins Bin was first estabilished in November 1977 as a roadside caravan selling fresh local crayfish. Still to this day it offers just that, right next to the beach for an ulitmate New Zealand experience.Only a 20minute drive north of the Kaikoura Township, it is a perfect stop off point to either dine in or take a crayfish away for your enjoyment later on!
