Spent a lovely day and evening enjoying to quiet, calming bay surrounding the lodge! Jeremy and staff were very accommodating, ensuring we were taken care of. Very relaxed environment allowing us to enjoy the day. The food was presented well and abundant! Lovely spot to spend some time while enjoying our New Zealand vacation.

We had an amazing stay at Kingfish Lodge over Christmas this year. It's in a beautiful setting and very peaceful. The food is excellent and the team are friendly and attentive. We were lucky enough to stay in the CEO's suite for part of our holiday and it would be very hard to beat. Very luxurious and comfortable.

We booked lunch for 10 people and traveled over on my launch. I called in on the marine radio as i arrived and asked to go "alongside", which I have done for the last 20 years without a problem . The duty manager ,Georgie was her name I think ,tried to tell me i could not go alongside and needed... More

I'm actually flabbergasted that such negative postings have been made about the extraordinary New Year's Eve that the Kingfish Lodge and its new owners, Jeremy and Jacqui hosted December 31, 2013. I just happened to be scanning Trip Advisor and ran across these two negative reviews. Obviously these people were at a different party than I was. I found the... More

We called in on our way north to try the lodge for dinner. We had been told new owners had taken over so we were keen to see the changes. The decor has been freshened and the service was great. We had a lovely meal and the new owners introduced themselves and told us us their plans for the site.We would... More

The location of this lodge is beautiful and I had high expectations of New Year's eve there. Unfortunately it failed to live up to expectations. When we arrived we were asked to pay our $75 for the meal and then an additional $15 for the boat trip (this had never been mentioned when doing the bookings!). Paying for the meal... More

Dear Kingfish Lodge owners and management, To celebrate 2014 we decided to attend the Kingfish Lodge New Year’s function with our guests. Regrettably there were many points of dissatisfaction to an extent that we cannot speak neither well of nor commend it to anyone in the future. We arrived with the boat in the early evening in our group. Upon... More

On our sailing excursion we were told to stop at Kingfish Resort for dinner. We loved it. From the host and hostess, to the wine selection, to the fabulous gnocchi, lamb and fish, everything was wonderful. It was fun to talk to the many fisherman who came in to dine as well. The views are memorable and we were taken... More

What can I say......the ambience at this secluded resort has simply got to be experienced to be believed. Hidden away as it is near the mouth of the Whangaroa Harbour and accesible only by boat ( they do provide a shuttle on demand from the wharf at Whangaroa ) it is the ideal place for some quiet reflection, delightful walks,...
