We've been stopping at the Woodturners Café for the past 10 years and watched it grow and develop. We absolutely love it, the food is always excellent the staff are lovely and we love the country feel, the quirkiness of it and the great little craft buys you can make. We always make a detour off the main road if... More

This is a great place to stop. Lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating and quiet. The coffee was good and the food selection was unbelievable considering the location. All our group enjoyed their meal. You might have to wait a bit longer than a city cafe for your meal, but its worth the wait.

We have been coming to this cafe for 20 years. Over this time, the owners have renovated and added on to the original cafe. Coffee great. Toasted sandwiches great and other food, really good.

Stopped here by chance on the way to Tauranga , what a good decision. A most interesting Café, two pigs in the car park, a place to park your bike and a dog walking area and yard. Lots of room in here with many interesting things to look at and read. Also a good range of unique kitchen goods and... More

We have just discovered this cafe and now recognise it as the perfect food and rest spot coming from Auckland and returning after our holiday. It's THE BEST!

What a treasure chest this place is! As well as a café, there is a store with unique kitchen goods and preserves, and take a look at the cuckoo clocks! Great food, and a huge covered deck where you can sit out of the weather.

There has been alot of time and effort put into this cafe, every where you look there is interest. Great selection of food, good service, food was good not great, but then the grumpy man owner appears and it all flies out the window. Puts us off returning.

Conveniently located about half way between Auckland and Tauranga this cafe has a great atmosphere and good range of food. It offers meals from the kitchen through to usual cafe fare (muffins etc). We like it because it has outside and deck areas which are pet friendly. A great touch is the clips for attaching your dogs leash.

Off the main road, but a great place to break your journey from Auckland to the Bay of Plenty or Coromandel. The food is great. The venue is comfortable and suited for all weathers. Good menu, great food, pleasant service - something for everyone in your family or travelling group.

Every time we come, we love the place more. Consistently good coffee, service, quality of food and atmosphere. A must for a rest stop when travelling or just for a visit after a nice drive.
