Poor customer service and overpriced meals that tasted average. Will not be going back. Lovely location but the atmosphere was just not there. I felt like I was an inconvenience to tell you the truth.

Recently went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary, Staff were lovely, Both meals were really nice, but nothing to get excited about. I expected to see more variety on the menu, but found the menu was similar to most pub menu's?

We called in for morning tea recently and first impression was an awkward greeting from staff person. Long wait for our order. The blueberry slice we ordered looked fabulous on the stand but in fact was bland. My friends drinking chocolate was not pleasant, she left 3/4 of it. On the positive side lovely surrounds and views of the river.

Excellent meal last night at Proudfoots with beautiful views of the Hopkins River. Chris the owner greeted us warmly upon arrival with drinks arriving shortly after. Wait staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Two of us had the eye fillet that was cooked to perfection. Beautiful veggies that we discovered are grown in the owners personal market garden.... More

Disappointing service and disgusting food! We booked a table of 12 for dinner at Proudfoots to celebrate a birthday. Staff didn't greet or welcome us, merely saw the cake we were holding and told us there was a $2 fee per person if we chose to eat the cake in the restaurant. A 'hello' would have been nice. We would... More

Hi. If we had have known on the night we would have been able to help. Now, onwards and forwards. After what may have been a difficult conversation with a truely lovely girl today a great outcome has be born. What a great place trips advisor is to tell our customers whats going on. And as an owner, we only... More

Lovely lunch had here with friends. Meals were large, but not over the top. Cheff done the rounds to see if people were happy, nice touch. Some of the staff were lovely and this made up for the older staff that wasn't. It doesn't cost anything to put a smile on your dial.

I accidentally ended up here after confusing it for an other place. Luckily I did not get disappointed. Took a simple plate of Lamb Sausage with fries. The lamb was well spiced but the fries stole the show. Lovely how thick, crispy yet soft and airy they were on the inside.

Nice setting but the service was a bit hap-hazard, other diners received their meals before us even though we had arrived and ordered before them and our drinks took a long time to arrive. I had the yabbie salad which could have had a bit more flavour and the veins hadn't been removed from the yabbies. A bit disappointing.

This place attracted us because of the name. We enjoyed every bit of our experience here. The wait staff and the owner/chef were very friendly and the food was wonderful. It is a very old building with a wonderful history, which the owner enjoyed telling us about and we enjoyed hearing. I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting the... More

We visited Proudfoots for lunch with Melbourne visitors, because we had visited in a number of occasions and it was a p,easing place for a meal. It was holiday time and very busy, so more staff need to be employed to cope, as the service was poor. The meal, when we eventually received it was very average, with one meal... More
