We dined at the Star Bar after an evening movie. Despite the fact that there were few diners left there, we were warmly welcomed. The Star Bar has an excellent wine list and the spaghettini with salmon was delicious. Service was fine. It's a shame that the acoustics are not good - it was O.K. on this occasion but it's... More

Went here twice during our stay. Staff are very friendly and service was great. Has an open fire, pub-style restaurant too. On The Friday night they had live music (acoustic style). Atmosphere was easy-going, casual style.

Our time spent at this pub was great. We first had a couple of Friday night drinks and then ordered some food. From the moment we walked in till the time we fixed up the tab, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had the ribs and they were tasty (big portions too!). The live acoustic music kept us... More

It's disappointing to see what used to be such a great place going down hill. A few of the waitresses were rude/blunt & not friendly, but the guy was great who took our order and delivered the meals. The meals were basic, nothing over the top. I ordered the burger, which looked great but the meat patty wasn't great and... More

My partner and I called in for lunch yesterday. Have always had a good experience. Staff were great. When the meals arrived they were WAY below par. I did mention that we were not happy with the standard of food that had been served. Staff took the feedback on board and were very apologetic and took that into consideration when... More

Had to wait an hour to get a meal then when it arrived was absolutely terrible. They had run out of nearly everything we tried to order. My father ordered a seafood experience from the menu and boy, it was an experience! There was no fish, and bits of scallops that looked like people had previously eaten. When we complained... More
