Was looking forward to some great pasta, the menu didn't offer to many tomato based pasta dishes, most was creamy sauces. No margharita pizza on the menu either. We finally decided on a "Napoltana" and a sphagetti marinara. The dishes came out too quick which worried us straight away. The pizza looked like the base came from a super market,... More

Out of the 12 pasta dishes we have on our menu EIGHT of them are tomato based red sauces. FOUR of them are cream based. Our pizza dough is hand made daily on the premises, the great big dough rolling machine as you walk in the door is a dead giveaway, but what surprises me most is the grievance caused... More

The decor is very dated. The troupe l'oeil adds to the outdated look. We were seated by the waitress and there was only 4 other people in the restaurant. Some time later she returned to take our drinks order. We sat down and the owner/manager later came over to take our order. We asked for two large pizzas and his... More

Not much can be said, since you have already made your opinion that you dislike your experience.. It's disappointing to read someone telling people to avoid our family run business, who has employed many Tasmanians over a span of forty years. One discrepancy I will state is that our dough is hand made, by our staff, on our premises, everyday.... More

Good balance in taste and portions. We are vegetarians and had a few choices. But they said they could make any vegetarian if we wanted. Would dine again if we are back in Launceston. Great food and always busy.

This place is gold, the food is amazing all fresh from Tasmania and it is a little piece of Italy.... Take your wine sit down andunch you way through the night. The entres are very taste and big and the seafood is great. Will definitely go back before we leave for home....

We had diner in Calabrisella, we took one pizza and some pasta the food was OK and far to be exceptional. We have not been able to really smell our dishes because the tablecloth was not replaced after the previous customer and the tomato sauce mark was awkwardly cleaned with a very fragrant cleaning product. The service was low and... More

This place is very low key and unpretentious. Feels like a takeaway place that just stuck some cheap tables and chairs into whatever space they could find, but don't let appearances put you off. The food was amazing. The menu is quite wisely a selection of fairly simple pasta and pizza dishes but done well. I highly recommend this place!

Not sure where some of the other reviews have come from but at Calabrisella the food is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and helpful and the owner always good for a laugh and a chat. Pasta, pizzas, veal and specials, take your pick they are all great. I guess if you are grumpy to start with, nothing much will fix... More

My wife had a Penne Fontana and I had a spaghetti amantea. We both felt like these were the best pastas we've ever had. My wife went here a year ago and was looking forward to eating here again.
