Lovely relaxed meal. It is actually a great place for the solo diner. You are not looked down upon. Food and wine was nice. Value for money

Had heard some good things, so we tried, not a huge menu, however always nice to try something different, All staff were friendly and attentive without being in your face, price wise a little on the high side, including wines, The dining room is getting a little tired, we found the chairs very uncomfortable and by end of mains we... Food was good and staff friendly. Breakfast is a continental buffet and hot al la carte. Eggs benedict were good. Do say no pepper if you don't want it all over your eggs. Room service was quick, tasty and nice selection.

Restaurant opens at 6pm and during the week is very busy, we went on a weekend and it was not busy, staff were very friendly and had time to chat with us. Menu was interesting modern and well presented. Kitchen was flexible facilitating sharing of meals and interested in follow up. Overall a good expereince.

Breakfast was the standard continental style. You could order the hot version, eggs and bacon on toast, etc. Wait staff were very happy and accommodating.

They offer a varied selection of meals, without it being too many meals or too difficult to make a choice. Everything was spot on and we will return without a doubt. It... More

Enjoyed a fantastic 2 course dinner (entree & main) at Esca on our first night in Tassie. Great food from the new chef with excellent service. Reasonably priced also.

It was a Monday night a lot of the other restaurants were closed. So we decided to go to Esca. It was a very good decision. The scallops were are real treat and the Cape Crim rib eye was fantastic. The other plates on the table had the same effect with the family. We will be back.

Enjoyed a buffet breakfast during our recent stay at Mantra Charles, was only expecting a continental buffet when the wait staff said we can choose from the cooked breakfast menu as well. We chose the eggs benedict which came out nice and quick. I can honestly say they were the best eggs benedict I have ever tasted, tasted delicious, cooked... More
