Fish 'n Chips was recommended to us as a family friendly location and it didn't disappoint. There is a whole wall blackboard and lots of chalk for the little kids. The food was beautiful, especially the Blue Eye Trevalla (which in my opinion is the best fish around) and the chips weren't too greasy or crispy, but it was expensive.... More

Had lunch with friends and the food was amazing. The staff and service were friendly and attentive which is a rarity in Launceston. The quality and taste of the food was delicious and excellent value for the price. Will be there for dinner tonight!!!

Busy fish and chips restaurant, good variety on menu, friendly service, perfectly cooked fish. A little more expensive than I expected, but it is at the Seaport. All in all, an enjoyable meal.

Where do I start, the fish was ok, the service was less than average. When I asked for sauce I may as well as asked for the winning numbers for lotto, the expression said it all! Sauce you mean you want sauce. That was the best bit. The price, forgive me but I expect value for money or the perception... More

A great location on the Launceston waterfront, with outside dining as well. Inside it's much like a regular fish n chip shop (different to the fancy restaurants nearby). The Prawn Salad comprised 6 huge and scrumptious prawns - a great feed (with local wine, or Boags XXX Red beer). And the Tempura Battered Fish portions with salad were lovely -... More

It is more expensive than a normal fish and chip shop but the food is much much better than a normal fish and chip shop. We really enjoyed the food and it appealed to all of the family with varying ages. Not for every Friday night but great for holiday food.

For a "seaport" fish and chips restaurant there was a very limited choice of fish. We had scallops and Trevalla, which were okay, but the Cajun fries were crudely spiced and were borderline inedible - certainly not palatable - best avoided. Riverside outlook is a plus, and joins the beer (full range of bottled Boags) as the main plus points.

You would expect the place to be good given its location, however I would suspect that locals don't eat here. The chips were the best part. Ordered a grilled fish with no dressing on the salad, and a battered fish with dressing, the waiter brought the food and advised there was a mix up and said they put the dressing... More

As others have pointed out, this place is pricey when you compare to a standard 'F&C' eatery but.... we have some allergy considerations with our daughter & to ensure no cross-contamination with her food - staff were only to happy to isolate our daughter's food and cook separately. All the food is/was cooked freshly... nothing sitting in trays being kept... More

It's a really good family restaurant in a very pleasant setting. The outlook firstly attracted us and there were a few good reviews, so we thought we would try it out. It's hoot a nice outlook looking out over the river and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. We saw quite a few family groups sitting around and there... More
