With a raised deck and tables & seating right on the edge of the Hastings River, the Waters Edge is a great place to enjoy a late afternoon drink while watching the river and the sunset. It's a close walk from town if you're not staying at the hotel, and convenient to restaurants for dinner after your drink.

Positioned a very short walk to the town centre this property is surrounded by the canal on one side and the river on the other. It features a good quality restaurant which opens for breakfast, dinner and room service, a (limited stock) bar, pool and reception (which I believe closes overnight). Any food we ate here was delicious. Our room... More

The meal and deserts we had were delicious, with great service. Prices are comparable with other venues, if staying at the motel you can eat and have a drink without having to leave the motel.

If you book he night before when staying the breakfast you get a cheaper rate, for full breakfast. Great value for the money.

The exterior has had a revamp & the reception area. The rooms are still in need of a major renovation especially the bathrooms. They still have old horrible looking pump packs on the walls. No mini bar. Reception closes at 9pm on a Friday night.

We enjoyed our stay there, comfortable beds nice little balcony to sit out on while having a cup of tea overlooking the pool and boats on the water. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good value for money if you book the night before. Wish there was a mirror in the room because the one in the bathroom would fog up... More

Generous size room, bed comfort about 7/10. Great position, and a chef who can cook! Meals were great. Staff very helpful with everything. On the negative side, steps everywhere no ramp, no trolley to manage luggage, so not very disability friendly.

My husband and I stayed here for one night in a standard room. The room was quite large and it was clean and the beds and pillows were comfy. Would love to stay longer next time and enjoy the busy restraunt and bar!

This restaurant is part of a hotel that used to be known as the Country Comfort Hotel, had recently changed owners and the name has changed to Waters Edge Boutique hotel. I think the restaurant has the same name.
