After our enjoyable platter at Brokenback Bar we decided to try this cafe's. Although is cost $22, the bread was very dry, nothing to dip the bread in or spread on it. Apart from the shredded pork, the balance of this platter was average.

The food was so bad with the main course of pasta being some pre-made dish that was only half reheated. Sent it back and replacement was only luke warm. Went there as needed a child friendly place for dinner - big mistake!!

Stopped by for Saturday lunch. Quite busy with the local concert goers and large tour groups. Lunch was quite nice, though a bit on the pricey side for a cafe / brewery. The beer was mainly what we were here for as there's not alot of places you can still find IGP. Beer price a little over the top at... More

Arrived at Blue Tongue in the evening, grabbed 12 samplers of their craft beers and proceeded to have dinner. We ordered anchovies pizza, calamari and lamb. Though lamb really is not my cup of tea, theirs is tender, tasty and does not have any aftertaste. What really impressed us was the guy from the bar (I think his name was... More

Was looking forward to tasting the paddles of beer. $15 for 7 very very very small glasses (think around 2-3ml) is a rip off. Surely a brew house should give you a decent tasting glass and not rip you off....especially if they want you to drink and buy more of their beer. Unless they increase their beer quantity or reduce... More

This café is now part of the Matilda Bay Brewery and next to the Hunter Resort. The atmosphere is great and you can choose to eat and drink inside or out. The menu is extensive enough to suit most who visit and if not have a liquid lunch from the yummy beers on sale. .

lunches here are great, quick and simple, so if you are visiting wineries in the north, then this is a good place to stop, plus you get to clense the pallet with a beer or two

Friendly staff, food is good. Handy if you are staying in the accommodation. Was very few people there around 6.30pm on a Saturday night (more staff than patrons) which wasnt so good.

An authentic Italian dish always starts with the best flour, garden fresh tomatoes, and the best quality local produce. Then of course matched to a great wine. Sound simple ... We make all our own pasta and sauces from scratch , in the traditional Italian way. Our restaurant also features a glass fronted air-conditioned wine cellar where we have wines from all over the world including some rare vintage wines from local private cellars.
