A good, solid meal at the Lion's Pride. The meals are of a good size and wine comes in a choice of glass size. Nothing fancy, but the chicken wings had a fantastic sauce! The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food came out very quickly.

Keen for a steak and a quality sit down meal to culminate a two day visit to Dubbo with my family visiting the zoo... The Lions Pride seemed an obvious choice after an Internet search... as it turned out it was an excellent choice...child friendly colouring in, quality children's menu (not just deep fried brown stuff), good wine and well... The staff accommodated us as late walk ins on Easter Sunday night..they were very busy, and the staff were delightful. The food..... Was spectacular.. Bruschetta with Beetroot was mouth watering.. The mains of vegetarian and chicken were very flavoursome and filling.. Dessert was my favourite.. Waffles with divine caramel sauce.. Food, service and location all top notch.. The place was over booked and undet staffed. Drinks would come out about half an hour after we ordered them. Took 45min to bring a galic bread out. Ordered what i thought was the lamb shanks and only 1 shank arrived it was supposed to be slow cooked and it was as dry as out back bouke in a drought... More

Thank you for your review. Easter weekend is a very busy weekend for The Lions Pride Restaurant (I am great full for all our team members who gave up their family time to work with me). For only $2.50 we make to order a fresh garden salad or Roast seasonal Vegetables. These where given away in our previous menu but... More

The new restaurant is so small, our chairs were bumped into all night and we were constantly trying to move in further so the wait staff could get past us. Don't expect to get a drink unless you wait a minimum of half an hour after you order it. Go to the bar yourself! My lamb shank tasted like an... More

Please correct me if I'm wrong, your partners comment is the one above 'Disaster'? As mentioned in my response above Steaks cooked well done do loose a lot of moister and being char grilled over flames will leave a steak with grill marks. We offered to pay for the cake numerous times only to be refused countless times and told... More

Fantastic service, beautiful good (steak was outstanding!), great atmosphere. Sadly had no pork ribs and waffle on my visit, but will be back in the near future to try both!

Ambience is nice.... and the food though was average. Had the fettuccine, beef burger, fish and chips, and crepes. Fettuccine and burger was ok. The fish was cooked well i.e. not dry but, the beer batter was soggy instead of crispy. Pity. The crepe... more like a pancake with fillings. Never seen crepes that thick. The kids enjoyed the food... More

Thank you for your feed back. Next time please let one of the team members know when your dining so the meals can be amended. Crepe should be thin and batter should be crispy. Thank you for your review. More

It's been almost a year since I was here last and I was almost turned off by the new reviews. I wish I had taken note of the reviews and had gone somewhere else. It wasn't AWFULL but it wasn't GREAT either. It's a big restaurant and I was the only person dining, being a Monday could be the reason... More

Maybe we should have had the ribs, we had chicken snitty I had mine topped with avo and bacon with a garlic cream sauce but my friends just got it with garlic butter (which was frozen) then there was no choice of veggies or salad just chips or baked potato, we could have got veggies or a salad but that... Sorry you feel that way. Our Chicken Schnitzel are made on premise from a fresh chicken breast and are hand crumbed (we never freeze them always fresh). We could have melted the butter if you liked softer butter (butter for the cob loaf). The Garlic butter should have been melted and soft through out, sorry it wasn't. If in doubt... More
