We stopped by without a reservation and were amazed by the number of people that came by looking to get a table. We sat in the cozy bar and waited until a table came open. Well worth the wait. Excellent food and great service. This is the place to dine in Te Anau

Unassuming from the outside but warm and cosy on the inside. Great selection of wine. Food is fresh and although the menu is limited, it is delicious. Friendly service. Would dine here again.

Ate dinner here while in Te Anau from a recommendation from our tour driver to Milford Sound. We split the breads and dips which were awesome. Our favorite dip was the salmon cream cheese. That may sound weird but it was fantastic and not fishy at all. It also comes with sun dried tomato and hummus, both of which were... More

Tucked away off the main drag, we maybe wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for being told about it. The food really is gorgeous - and clearly lovingly prepared by chefs who know how to cook. Front of house service is excellent, with the right mix of attentiveness, knowledge, friendliness and professionalism. Menu is varied and the drinks menu... More

We'd been told we must eat here when we visited Te Anau but we were disappointed. The welcome was offhand with no sign of a smile, we felt rushed into placing our order and the young woman who took the order was overconfident - she should at least have been taught how to pronounce french expressions before looking down her... Quirky friendly setting; traditional NZ fish and game menu of good standard. Get a main building table if possible as the marquee out back isn't well lit.

We had the fish of the night - which was prepared perfectly grilled. Very simple presentation with a delicious outcome. Fish came with a small salad and a broccoli stir fry. Highly recommend.

After completing the Kepler Track, my husband and I treated ourselves to a meal at Redcliff and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely fantastic. We gorged on Bloody Mary oysters- sublime, hare croquettes - amazing, and then we both had the venison dish, fabulous! The staff were A1. If you are visiting Te Anna Redcliff is a MUST.

Redcliff Café was recommended by the owner of Aden Motel where we stayed. We were fortunate to be able to get reservations at the last minute. We were seated outside and though it was a little chilly we were toasty warm. The outside patio is surrounded by transparent covering to keep out the chill, warmers overhead to keep the air... More
