Had Gorgeous George--hash with streaky bacon and two eggs, and hollandaise on the side. It tasted amazing! I'm so happy we don't live anywhere near here, or I'd come all the time and give myself a heart attack for sure. Would totally recommend this place! P.S. We had just got off our plane and had giant annoying bags with us... More

Nice atmosphere with a nod to the old school garage smoko room. Enjoyed "The Local" and a coffee for breakfast. Don't be put off if it's busy when you arrive. We found the staff efficient and had no trouble finding us a seat. Coffee and meals came out quickly and were great.

We came here twice for breakfast and were very happy each time. I had the breakfast burrito and it was sooo good. My partner had the sweetie and the roll with the sausage, bacon and eggs and was very happy with both. Love the garage decor it makes it very memorable

Joe's garage was recommended to me by the front counter guy at the central yha hostel. Not only was he correct but it even exceeded his praise! Best breakfast I'd had in years. It has an odd name and is located on an alley looking street, but it is definitely worth the effort to find. It is difficult for me... More

Sat on the small outside terrace and enjoyed a spicy beef salad with crispy noodles washed down with a glass of excellent beer . Friendly welcome and service.

What an introduction to food in New Zealand! We were so pleased to go here on our first full day! The Gorgeous George was truly amazing! I don't drink coffee myself but my husband enjoyed his and he had the full breakfast which looked amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.

The original Joe's Garage opened in 2000, situated in an old Post Office sorting room in Queenstown. There are now seven Joe's around NZ and the concept is the same now as it was then- to be a Cafe that everybody can go to and enjoy exceptional coffee and food presented by attentive and enthusiastic staff, listen to cool music, and above all, have a lot of fun in an efficient "garage" environment.
