The cafe in Queens Park has recently changed hands and been revamped. Nice new tables and chairs, new couches, new staff, and a mix of old and new foods. It is so much more inviting, the staff are very pleasant and the food is very good. Have visited several time recently and will definitely be back. Keep up the good... More

Great friendly staff, fantastic blue cod, chips and salad meal for Uncle and Eggs Benni' for me. Very reasonably priced... More

We stopped in for some warm drinks in between playing on the playground with our toddler. Coffee was great! Way better than I'd expected and my hot chocolate was hot, chocolatey and delicious. Worth the stop. Marshmallows, choc fish and spoons were packaged up in a paper bag - a thoughtful gesture that made carrying coffees easier.

Attended an organisation festive meal. Buffet meal. Basic ham, lamb chicken with roast vegetables and salad. Sufficient food for all but let down by inadequate monitoring of condiments. All ran out. Watery thin gravy. Service too casual. Not interested in providing glass for beer. Dessert was typically seasonal but again no interest in replenishment. Coffee variety was impressive but low... The Cheeky Llama restaurant offers a welcome stop-over for tea and cake, or something savory. Light meals on offer at average prices. Friendly staff, child-orientated. Sit in the garden with your pooch on a lead, or stay inside the (sometimes) noisy cafe.

If you want lovely cake and good coffee this is the place. I go often and when it's busy sometimes the tables need a wipe and staff are rushed but they are always friendly. The carrott cake is the best I have ever had...it's huge and yummy and moist. It is a great place to people watch and and the... More

Cheeky Llama Café It was NZ school holidays and the kids’ playground was packed as was the Cheeky Llama Café located nearby. The staff were working frantically to keep up with the seemingly continuous flow of customers. It was clear that they were short staffed given that many tables had not been cleared or cleaned between customers. All credit to... More

Awesome place to go for lunch. Great for the kids because they can go off and play in the park. Yummy baking. We had the crumbed blue cod, chips and salad. They do a half size for the kids too. Divine. I also live their kids llama lunches and corn fritters. Definitely worth a visit. It's very popular though so... More

A great spot for breakfast/ coffee. We had several stops there as we walked throughout the park. Enjoyed the southern delicacy - cheese rolls and amazing cheese scones.
