We had some bluff oysters (fresh) and some chips, but none of the fish was able to be grilled (just battered or crumbed). Unfortunately not much help from the lady serving us with alternatives for gluten free. No forks either as we wanted to eat them at the park, and no lemon for the oysters (or fish!). Sorry, fairly poor... More

Great Fish (Cod) and chips cooked fresh. Would have preferred more chips! Oysters to die for! Well worth driving across town for.

Well worth the trip. Recommended from trip advisor. Ate at the gardens. Ordered burger fish and chips and everyone was happy with it. Trip advisor doesn't fail again.

Good burgers. Everything we have tried is well cooked and delicious. My only small feedback is when we do get these the amount of chips is small for our hungry family of 4. We can order up to six dollars . We would never order this anywhere else in Invercargill.

I wanted to sample the famous Invercargill blue cod and I wasn't disappointed. I also couldn't go past the mussels and scallops. The chip serving size was more than adequate. The shop looks a little tired, but clean. I ordered over the counter and I was pleased by the wait time, not too fast that made me think some of... More

A regular visitor to this takeaway shop. They have a good selection on their menu to suit all 'taste buds'. Pretty good value for money as well. Be sure you are clear when phoning, as to what you require though, and ask them to repeat back your order, as there can be the odd mix-up with what you order and... More

Fantastic takeaways, fish and chips, hotdogs, pineapple ring. Beautifully cooked, great chips, best takeaways I have tasted in ages.

We were visiting Invercargill and told to try these fish and chips. I was a bit put off by the decor of the takeaway bar, but these were great tasting and not at all oily. We walked through the Queens park gates opposite the shop and sat at a picnic table. A very enjoyable lunch and location to eat!

Had this as Sunday night tea while back home in Invercargill visiting. Always was a favourite years ago when I lived there so was keen to try it again. Has changed owners since then but not the quality. Pleased to read the positive reviews, and have to agree with them. Blue Cod was delicious and great value at $6. Great... More
