We came here for a family meal with our kids and ate really well. It's a great setting, good bar, great food. Definitely worth having on the list - provided you have a car to get you there.

Had a great meal here a few nights ago. Really superb food in a nice setting which made it seem quite special. I had the steak entree, followed by the lamb salad, both were excellent. I wasn't so fussed on the young waitress calling me 'love', but that's just me. Otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Probably was what they say, and the vicar was well looked after if that is so. Lovely rooms of various sizes, tasteful and interesting decor. Would be wonderful for private events. Quite large, and they appeared to manage that well with the usual too few staff. The menu was ok if a little formulaic, the wine list minuscule and overpriced,... More

My first visit to this interesting venue, to have a lunch meeting. Really it was a meeting, no wine was consumed. I turned up a few minutes late and my colleagues had ordered. I added my order at the counter from what appeared to be a reasonable menu. The seating was a little cosy for four, but it provided a... More

We were given a gift voucher for the Old Vicarage, which we had visited a few years ago for breakfast, so we decided on lunch on a warm autumn afternoon. We got a seat outside behind a windbreak which stopped any breeze. Great setting with what we thought was great food. We shared the Pork starter which I loved then... More

My husband and I have eaten here on several occasions and decided to take a out of town guest for dinner. The room we were seated in was cold so I had to keep my coat on. The food was fine, not great, just fine. There is just something not quite there with the dishes. They are a bit dull... More

It's a little while since we were last at The Old Vicarage, but it is still a good place to visit. The menu has changed a little and the decor has been updated, but the service is still good and the food still just as tasty. The attentive "waitperson" did pretty well, except that our daughter was brought the wrong... More

I love the style of this place! Been here a few times and the food never fails me, always leave full and satisfied, the staff are always friendly but some come across a bit 'over it' Good location and parking, good price for quality of meal

Good food & excellent bar, but probably 10-15% to dear. Only one complaint( voiced by many!) Piped music is far to loud in restaurant. Great place for Sunday drinks but doesn't need wrecking with live music thrashed out by an evolving bunch of idiots who can neither sing nor play & would do well not to vacate their weekday employment.... Great parking, space is tidy, service is fine, food looks great but needs finesse and a lighter touch. Lights too bright, bill 15% too high for quality, good for family or friends, not a great date night or celebration evening.
