After a day sightseeing this hostelry was a delight. A great selection of Kiwi Craft Beers to suit all tastes can be reviewed at the bar or on the extensive menu. Similarly wine lovers, and NZ is the place for excellent wines will also not be disappointed. We were there for food as well as beers (in my case!) and... More

Service was very prompt and attentive .The newspaper style menu is easy to follow . Its not an extensive menu but what they do they do ok. This is craft beer paradise and the pub makes no secret that it wants to the best craft beer pourer in the land. I think the focus on the brewing side of the... More

We wanted a nice meal and somewhere pleasant to spend a Sunday evening. Pomeroys was both. The friendly staff assisted by providing samples to enable Mr to make his perfect choice of beer, while I was delighted to find that Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc is their "house wine" !! The food was delicious too. A Pulled Pork sandwich for me... More

We went here primarily for their great beer selection and weren't disappointed. We had expected above average bar food though and really underestimated them. Their food was outstanding. A very good restaurant and one of our favorites from our recent trip to New Zealand.

Old England style pub with thick carpet, wooden and brick walls and loads of craft beers and wine to choose from. Grab your favourite and suggle up with a bowl of chips and gravy, and it's a great night out.

At first I wasn't that impressed. A busy night and poor bar design, especially with a disengaged staff member, had me thinking I'd chosen badly. However once we had a table and dedicated wait staff the experience was very positive. Great selection of craft beers and an excellent menu, helped by hood humoured and professional staff made this a really... More

Visited here on Sunday evening, mainly to see the band that was playing. The place was packed, no tables when we first got there but we nabbed one when someone left. Ended up having dinner here - salmon and pulled pork were both great. Really enjoyed the band too (although it was quite noisy so couldn't hear them as well... More

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, we love to come here. A perfect way to spend a rainy day with friends, beer and bar snacks. Plenty choice of beers on tap. Keep up the amazing beers!

This place is the go to place for anyone who appreciates good quality beer and old school pub atmosphere. The staff are friendly, well trained and knowledge on the different beers. A great place to relax for a couple of hours
