I think it is safe to assume this cafe has closed. Despite the reviews, I decided to give this cafe a try because it looked like a fun cycle ride away. Alarm bells rang when we stopped at the right the street number and there...More

Was given a gift voucher for lunch, took our order and then no food for over an hour ...when it did arrive it was lukewarm and not particularly good. Couldn't recommend.

The Packingshed Cafe is not the easiest to find. Turn off the highway to Akaroa before TaiTapu where the sign says "Packingshed Cafe4km " but there is no sign at the Early Valley Road corner to direct you up there. Once we found the cafe...More

The setting for this cafe is really very nice. The food is not however and the prices charged for very small meals are way over the top. Very disappointing and would not chose to visit again. The person in charge for the time we were...More

Description
Review:
We made our first and last visit to the Packingshed this weekend. On arrival one of the waitresses greeted us politely and was trying to find us a table when a young woman whom we assumed to be the duty manager, who had a most unfortunate attitude for someone in the hospitality trade, snapped “casuals outside”, speaking about us as though we weren’t there and making us feel most unwelcome and as though we were an inconvenience. We left immediately and won’t be back.
