Lovely eatery with great service and delicious food. Only lost a star as $7 sides were overpriced. Recommend the Whitaker mousse.

We dined with our friends at Cuba Street Bistro last night and the service from our server Chloe was dimply awesome. The food served to us was so delicious and original and the presentation was just perfect! We couldn't believe how fantastic the entire night was - great food, service, atmosphere and it was BYO so we were able to... More

Had dinner for 2 on a Monday night. Ordered side salad and 2 entrees: scallop fettucine and grilled (beef) fillet. Took a while for food to arrive. Salad came same time as entree, instead of ahead of it. Salad was well dressed. My beef fillet wasn't very good. Tasted tough, even though it was prepared to medium as requested. The... More

Last night we went out for dinner with two of our friends from out of town. We had a lovely meal out at Cuba street bistro. I had the salmon and it was very nice, matched very well with beans and peas. I wouldn't go as far to rave about the meal, but it was nice.

Stopped off for light refreshments at this great little cafe during a visit to Cuba Street. It has a warm inviting interior and staff are most friendly. We merely enjoyed some fine organically grown Backyard coffee blend and light eats. The menu offers some appealing choices and we would happily return to have a brunch, lunch or dinner at this... We cruised down Cuba St after visiting the War Memorial Museum looking for a place for lunch (the is no shortage in Cuba St!). The Bistro looked inviting and pretty full of people (always a good sign) so we went in. I am in a wheelchair and there was no access problem. The coffee arrived quickly and was excellent. We... Great food for a reasonable price. The menu wasn't extensive but it had a good range. There are some interesting dishes. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service without being over the top. The only down side was, with the wooden floor, the acoustics were not great .. partly due to a largish party that was relatively noisy.... More

This is my favourite place for brunch. The best hollendaise sauce and hash browns in town. The cornfritters are great too. Food is always very fresh and top quality.
