I always go for the pork belly here, its truly flavoursome and tasty. THe place has good seating and doesnt get crowded when its full. Service is also nice and you can even enjoy a nice quiet meal alone or with someone during the week.

Tucked up an alley off Cuba Street, this cafe/restaurant offered authentic looking malaysian/chinese food. My son took the pork wonton noodle soup, advertised off the board and said that it was awesome - my house style satay was fabulous and not too spicy and my husbands curry looked delicious. Quick, easy food at very good value prices.

Not a good experience. Large open spaced restaurant with floors and walls that need a good clean, dirty tables with equally grubby condiment holders. You order at the counter and wait at your table if ones free. What customer service there was is disinterested, rude and rushed. The food lacked flavour, spice and tasted of msg. There is a TV playing something which... More

We recently visited wellington and friends suggested we meet at oriental kingdom for lunch. I googled to check it out and the reviews werent raving but went because were invited to and is a favourite with a couple who were part of the group we were lunching with. The decor is a bit off putting and shabby but the food... More

Meal was nice and quickly served, atmosphere is not nice at all. They were playing the muppets on screen. Claims to be BYOB, but you have to pay 5$ to bring in a bottle, and $2 for a can.

I would not go back again. I had assam fish which was suppose to be a sambal fish with assam. It tasted me like assam curry. The fish was way overcooked. Fortunately the curry was reasonable. My friend had poached chicken rice. The chicken was very over cooked. The flavor of the chicken rice was bland. The only reasonable thing... More

Popped in for a bit of lunch. Delicious meal and cheap too. 2 roti chenai and pork buns, 2 Malaysian coffee for $30. No the place doest look gourmet. No the toilets aren't the nicest. But the food is awesome, the young lady serving was polite and efficient. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot, and tasted absolutely gorgeous.... More

I wish I didn't went in for dinner. It was alright when the guy passes us the menu and chatting with us. Seems like a friendly person. But when the lady took over, I am totally disappointed by her. She was so rude towards us when we want to order our food. We order seafood laksa. It doesn't taste authentic... More

I'd never been here before but popped in because it was handy. I wish I hadn't. The menu looks reasonably promising and the prices make it appealing. The seafood laksa I ordered tasted as though it had been made with a flavouring packet-mix, the seafood was in short supply and the squid was old, and there was a think layer... More

This restaurant has much of its menu in Chinese, but do not let that put you off. The Soup and Pad Thai were excellent. We were early diners and by the time we had finished the place was full of locals, mainly students. No chandeliers but a great place to eat.
