We had a fabulous dinner. Great company. Amazing food. Friendly and attentive ( not intrusive at all) staff. A lovely relaxed and comfortable ambience. We were lucky enough to be seated upstairs, so it was a nice private dinner amongst good friends.

We had such high hopes for this restaurant in a beautiful converted bank building, but alas it disappointed at almost every turn. The only good thing we have to say is that our young waiter was pleasant and efficient throughout, even when he understood that our meal had gone south. Things got off on the wrong foot when we asked... More

My husband and I had a degustation dinner at logan brown to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. The restaurant was kind enough to make a seafood free menu for us as neither of us eat seafood. The food was ok but unfortunately nothing exceptional or stand-out in my opinion. The service was good but would have been nice to... More

This was by far the best high tea I've attended across Wellington. This was also the second time I've had high tea at Logan Browns and it too was the best for presentation, taste, quantity, and selection.

I have wanted to come to this restaurant for years so when in Wellington on holiday we were lucky to get a booking here. We were up stairs with a lovely view over the restaurant so that was special. The service was exceptional, very silver service and discreet. The food was memorable and enjoyed by all three of us. The... More

Didn't stay for food but the drink list was extensive and the staff knowledgeable about the product. Would have dined but had previous plans. Definately something on the to do list.

We're in town for the Keith Urban concert, and had a lovely, long, late lunch before showtime. We opted for the Chef's Choice with wine matching. Absolutely delicious. Probably the best course was the paua ravioli but the ceviche, lamb, venison and blood orange desert were all magnificent. Blend in some amazing wine and fantastic service and you have a... More

I started with the oysters, then the terrine, followed by lamb rump and cheese. Everything was excellent and the service was good. But the best part was the wine list - they have a selection of "Reserve" wines (stored under Nitrogen) which were good and very interesting.

Had a team lunch for 9 at Logan Brown last week. They were very accomodating moving our booking forward a week when we needed to postpone. Also very happy to adjust numbers the day before which was appreciated, as it is always difficult to pin people down. We all had a $25 lunch special which included a main (from their... More

Description
Awarded TWO HATS Good Food Awards 2013, 2014, 2015 and Supreme Winner Restaurant of the Year NZ 2009. Nearly 20 years after Steve Logan founded the restaurant, Logan Brown is still showing newcomers how to do fine dining. The neo-classical interior remains as plush as ever, drawing diners who wouldn't normally brave the upper reaches of Cuba St, while competent, confident service encourages adventurous choices from the wine list. The kitchen, headed by Shaun Clouston, continues to turn out innovative, but not gimmicky, food. There's a strong emphasis on local and seasonal flavours, with a nod to the huntin', shootin' and fishin' enjoyed by the restaurant's founders. Classic Kiwi flavours are embraced and showcased with a sense of humour. In brief: style, service and food you can bank on Said international guest judge, Ralph-Kyte Powell, "If I had to select an international flagship for New Zealand cuisine. Logan Brown would be hard to go past"
