Been coming to the Crown & Badger for almost 4 years now, and in the last 6 months it has upped it's game! Originally loved it for it having the closest feel to an English pub of any I'd been to in NZ thus far, reasonable prices for food and good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Since coming under... More

We dined here Sunday night , the menu is largely pub favourites with a few interesting inclusions such as Beef Wellington and a Sunday Night Roast Platter for two. Our chosen selections included the Beef Wellington and the Pork Ribs, the meals did seem to take a while to arrive but when they arrived were well presented and tasty. The... More

We call In every week, been coming for years and although I love the beer, and let's face it what else after a hard weeks work for me and wife. It was Gr8 to see a new face that makes you welcome, instead of the deadwood that is grumbling and sulks. Obviously not from NZ, our Kiwis can learn a... More

Visited on a Friday evening with friends from Oz. A little noisey so conversation was not so easy. Good pub food with orders for the five of us taken reasonably quickly and delivered to the table within an acceptable time. Good attention from the wait staff..

We dined here last Sunday night. We have not had a pub meal for a number of years and this was not quite what we expected. We had Fish of Day $27 and Pork Loin $28.50. My fish was bland, quite tasteless, the accompanying roast kumera and potatoes were a bit dry and the cauliflower and carrots were not fresh... More

When we arrived, there were only 2 other couples there, but we had to wait almost an hour for the meal to arrive. Twice we saw the chef sitting at a table for 15 mins in that time. Food was good but the service was way too slow - we were asked if we wanted dessert, and I said only... More

Crown & Badger is an inviting, traditional English pub with cosy booths and wood paneling, making it one of a kind. The British memorabilia creates a welcoming atmosphere for socialising with friends and enjoying a refreshing Guinness on tap or one of their other extensive beverage choices. Live bands most Friday and Saturday nights giving a great vibe and opportunity for dancing. Sky TV with popular sporting events available. Crown and Badger are located right in the middle of The Strand - the hot-spot for evening entertainment right on Tauranga Waterfront.

Crown and Badger are open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with delicious generous size portions at reasonable cost. For a hearty breakfast or brunch try the Badgers Big Breakfast or York's Benedict.

The menu for lunch and dinner features a broad range of traditional English pub food. There is a lot to choose from, including Sirloin Steak, salads, burgers, schnitzel, Barmy Army Bangers & Mash and Hearty Lancashire Hot Pot. There are snacks available anytime and Badger Wedges with bacon, cheese and sour cream are said to be the best in town.

Call in for coffee and dessert - Chocolate Mud cake or Apple Crumble served with cream and ice cream - decadent but worth it. No need to book at Crown and Badger - just show up.
