Lovely food and great service. Water on the tables is filtered (always a plus for me). Also one of the few places open at 9am on a Sunday morning. Obviously popular with the locals as it was humming when we were there.

The thing that makes this cafe good is the menu which has items that differ from normal. I had a delicious chicken waffle that was crispy and spiced just right. My husbands mince on toast was really flavourful

Great food, great coffee and great service! Favourite is the Southern fried chicken with chilli waffle...order nearly every time! Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Not where I would reccommend...however the staff were great but the food was just average ...I feel that it is very noisy inside the cafe could hardly have a conversation.

Hit the nail on the head this place, yeow. We had the meanest munches and a car park was free outside this beauty, went in ordered the lot, matching coffees to boot. All pleased. Shot ow, you ripper.

The Buddha Bowl is a healthy and tasty vegan meal and the kale and corn fritters are very nice. Their chocolate brownies are delicious heated up and have a gooey centre.

Our meals were delivered as ordered. The the staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. This was our first visit and would have no hesitation in returning in the future.

This café is NOT suitable for a conversation to take place the staff are snooty, the chairs out side are incredibly noisy when they are dragged along the ground and cold, its really cold on that side of the street. the unbearable cigarette smoke from nearby seat where the Asian chefs from next door like to sit, is enough just... Went to Elixir for breakfast before leaving New Plymouth. The food was amazing. The Raspberry bread was to die for and they put the right amount of hollandaise on my eggs benedict. For a little café, it was really busy and the staff were friendly. Would definitely go there again.

Awesome place to sit down and have a drink, awesome menu and amazing atmosphere. Only thing I could criticise would be the size - could be quite alot bigger as it gets massively noisy to the point its really hard to converse with people. Price is also a little bit on the high side, but other than that, its amazing!!
