Came for dinner with friends, it has a nice vibe and atmosphere. Our drinks were awesome, food was excellent and they were really big portions! The toilets were clean. The only reason I'm not giving them a five was the band, nice sound but the songs weren't to my taste, but I would return to this place next time I'm... More

Went here on a friend's recommendation. We were seated by a disinterested waitress in essentially an outdoor marquee on a cold winter night. We asked for a warmer area and received an unsympathetic response. Plus there were multiple TVs blaring a sports game. Zero atmosphere. After waiting a while for our order to be taken we eventually saw the note... More

You are quite right - the waitress should have advised to order at the bar when you were seated. Thats what we expect too. Please accept our apologies. We have a 1.2m open fire to warm the atmosphere. Not sure why it wasn't going on this night. More

You can't beat cheese rolls and a pint. A must do if you are in Rotorua. Also has a great lunch and dinner menu.

Cheese rolls. I love them too but unfortunately they didnt sell as well as I hoped. They are gone from the new menu, replaced with other yummy stuff. Thank you for the review and recommendation. More

This is a pub, location is good, along one of the streets fronting the lake. It has a nice ambience, the food portions are quite large and not too expensive. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. We had a good experience overall.

Wanted to get a beer and a local recommended this place. They have 10 beers on tap so we had some nice choices. They even had my diet ginger beer. We ordered the soup- one the special- potato and leek and I had the seafood chowder. The chowder had plenty of mussels and lots of shrimp. Both soups very served... More

We came across this place by accident and so glad we did! Fantastic atmosphere, we were settling into the front bar until we discovered the area out the back with a beautiful open fire. Great food, decent portions, superb place for lunch and a few drinks, highly recommend!

This restaurant had an interesting historical part to play in Rotoruas early days. A great place to eat, good food, pleasant surroundings, don't forget to order the 'pigtails'. Don't usually need to book but may pay to check in the weekends.

This is a great pub with a well stocked bar, including a good selection of tap beer and a great menu. There is live music several nights a week and late in the evening this place can really rock. But during the day, it is really popular as a place for small or very large groups to come and eat.... More
