Eat street location, attractive restaurant with comfortable seating and tables not tightly packed together. Bathrooms desperately in need of renovation, toilet seat fell off when used and the hand drier would not work. Lovely staff but I don't think the cooks understand the menu. Linguine was silky, creamy and very tasty. Tapas Cheap (just $3.50 per dish) but not plated... More

Had read the reviews were all over the place so just decided to have a Caesar salad which was good. Cleanliness is a issue toilets didn't want to touch the door.Tables were adequately clean but this is basic 101 cleaning. Was not busy on a peak night Anniversary weekend . Decided to go else where for desert

At the beginning we arrived in the evening with 5 people. We had a nice outside table. Than we ordered pork ribs, chicken breast, snapper, lamb loin and a vegetarian linguini, some tapas and bread & dips for starters. Everything was really good and the waitresses were really friendly, helpful and well informed about the menu. At the end we... More

Touristy places like his can be hit or miss, expensively at times. This time was a hit, excellent Ceasar salad, good pasta dishes and bruschetta, salmon perfectly done. Service was good but not fantastic, perhaps she was just not enthused today. They could spruce the place up a bit though. The chairs are stained and dirty, tables are not level... More

Our order was taken by a lovely waitress who was engaging and informative about the menu. We had happened upon the restaurant serendipitously, with no forethought as to where we might eat and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and service received. Excellent all round!

The hostess / waitress that greeted us and took our order was great Soup was salty which manager took off our bill Seafood platter for two was very ordinary. Accompanied with very hard toast. Very small portions/ overcooked. Suggest the owners find a good chef and ensure they pay him

Definitely would not recommend this restaurant for dinner. All five meals ordered were extremely underwhelming and apart from one nice waitress, the service was poor. The wine selection was also disappointing. Would not go back.

We dined as two couples. Eat Street has a zillion eating places so making a choice was always going to be a chore. We settled on Solace because it looked OK and had a table free. We fond the food to be excellent came to us at a good pace. The management are friendly and we would eat there again

Called into Roto's on our way from Tokoroa to Matata and picked this place from all the others in 'Eat Street'. Can't really complain get what ya pay for, little small on the helping of mince on toast but the Waikato went down a treat.

Yuk! The 2 spare ribs tapas was OK. The bruschetta was bland. The Pork belly on mashed potato was overcooked and tasteless. When the waiter asked how our meal was and I pointed out that my Caesar Salad with a poached egg on top actually had a hard boiled egg she asked who took my order... irrelevant. An expensive mistake.

Thank Tracy H
