Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stopped here for a lunch and once we had survived the ordering and paying process we were very satisfied with the food. I feel that perhaps they were surprised by the volume of customers

We had a great table by the window and enjoyed lunch from the special board. It was lovely and reasonably priced.

We thought that we would have lunch here after seeing it recommended. The setting was nice but the food was average and overpriced. Would not return as there are so many other cafes in the area.

Seriously.. maccas is better. Bland hash browns. Terrible shoulder bacon even coffee was poor. I would never give these guys a good recommendation. Left most of it on the plate. Perfect location shame about the food. Spend some money on decent produce and you will see your profits soar

The only place by the lake so they have a captive audience. Coffee and cheesecake were Yum. The view is stunning the cafe just a bit dated could be amazing with a revamp. The young guy that served us was lovely. Bit odd that they started to put tables and umbrellas away at 2.30 so even though it closes at... More

Nice Fast food restaurant and is very popular with Tours. Most people try the Fish & Chips. We tried the potato wedges & Fries but prefered the Fries.

We only had coffee here but our family had the works and it all looked very good. I did have a bite of the pancakes and maple syrup that were pretty yum!

The Lakeside Café has a very nice view on Lake Rotorua and a comfortable inner terrace. Food is nice and tasty, but, due to its location, prices are too much elevated. Almost a tourist trap!

Our tour guide brought us to Lakeside for lunch. The location cannot be beat in Rotorua, right on the lake. You order your food at the counter or select other items served in the cafeteria-style line. The food is brought promptly. We had the chicken sandwich and Lasgna-special. Both were very good and reasonably priced for a resort area.

On the lake side of the community Soundshell building. We were there on Sunday, when the markets were on, so not sure how often it's open other than Sundays. It's like a bistro where you take a tray and select the slices, sandwiches etc from the slide-glass cabinets - like a Country Women's kitchen. Then you order your drinks - my BOWL of latte was fantastic. We sat at tables just inside the glass looking out, across Lake Rotorua but the tables outside were popular too. Very reasonable, great food...all the locals seemed to be there!
