Staff here are really friendly. Walked passed and asked about takeaway and got told they do free delivery in Napier. Serving sizes are huge. We shared a pakoras, chicken tikka masala and a garlic cheese naan. Flavours were really good. Only thing we didn't love...More

Whilst the food at this quality restaurant was perfect, as usual, it seems that the Matre De was home asleep. We were served by a waiter with a black bead and a turban. He did not feel the need to fill our water. I waited...More

Little did I know that I’d find the most amazing Indian restaurant in Napier. Napier has a large concentration of great restaurants in a beautiful setting on the east coast of New Zealand (1 hour southeast by plane from Auckland). This restaurant was my favorite....More

Chose the most delish hyderabad curry and was not disapointed. The pompadoms were beautiful, as were the trio of dips on the table. Extensive wine list, but you have to try a cocktail! Thoroughly recommend.

An Indian restaurant run by a Yorkshireman ! I was surprised, but he has 5 chefs from Deli who cook the high standard food and he can share his passion for whiskey with his customers

We visited here for a family meal. The choice of curries is large so prepare to change your mind several times whilst perusing the menu. It's also really great to see such a varied and large number of vegetarian choices on the menu. The portion...More

It was nice of the staff to accommodate us without a booking. We ordered the biryani, dal bukhara and malai kofta. The biryani and dal were amazing, aromatic with whole spices; it was quite good. Disappointed with the malai kofta. Very tomato-ey and no other...More

Visited last night. Nice guy on the desk as you go in made us immediately feel welcome and got a table arranged. While waiting (very briefly) he provided us with menus to look at. Poppadums, pickles and water were already on the table. It was...More

What you can expect on the menu at Indigo We are a contemporary fine dining Indian restaurant where all of our dishes are cooked fresh to order. We never compromise on quality and offer a range of traditional and unique dishes, constantly offering our guests new experiences and tastes. Getting the spice right Our Indian hot is truly hot, so we only recommend it if you know you enjoy spice. We offer 5 more levels of spice from Extremely Hot,New Zealand hot, medium, medium-Hot and mild. Please ask us about which dishes suit the spicier styles such as Jalfrezi's and Vindaloos, as some dishes like Korma or Dal Bukhara are best enjoyed milder. The Kitchen We operate a traditional charcoal tandoor that you can be assured gives the best flavour to all our dishes including our selection of naan breads. All dishes are cooked from scratch specifically to your order. The Drinks Menu Indigo offers the largest selection of Hawke's Bay wine in the region and is proud to offer one of the broadest selections of gin, vodka, rum and bourbons. What are you famous for? We pour the largest whiskey selection in New Zealand with over 500 bottles on offer. Whiskey connoisseur and Indigo owner Paul Anderson will happily help you with a recommendation. You can order Indigo for delivery to your accommodation anywhere in Napier. This is ideal to continue sampling Hawke's Bay wines or global whiskies in your own time. You may also arrive at the Amber Bar after dining anywhere in Napier from 7pm. Where is Indigo Indigo is situated in the Parker's Chambers Art Deco Building built in 1932 in the heart of Napier. Table seating is ideal for groups, as well as booth seating for groups of 4 - 8. We recommend advance table booking Thursday through Sunday.
