Rivers is a lovely building beside the river in Gisborne. The decor is nice enough but the cubicles are lacking a bit of space unless you are a supermodel. Service was ok but depending on the person that serves you, staff can be a bit...More

I last visited this bar several years ago, it is STILL just as good. Although it was getting late in the evening (the waitress told us to hurry up with our order) the service was excellent, efficient and speedy. My meal was, sadly, the worst...More

Good beer, good food and friendly service. Busy around 1800-1900 (which was not surprising as it's a nice place) on a Saturday night but thins out a bit later. Would definitely eat and drink here again.

A lovely dinner with a large group of family. Our waiter Jarrod was very nice and the food was excellent. My salmon special was melt in the mouth and the garlic prawns were a particular fav at our table.

I choose the cheesecake for dessert thinking you can not go wrong with that. Unfortunately it was one of the weirdest things I have ever eaten. Fluro pink and obviously from a packet with a strange taste and not tangy. I wonder if it even...More

Well being from England myself then yeah I would. Then you won't be disappointed. If you do then they will stick a 'reserve' on a good table for you. It's a great pub and the Guinness is very good every time. Also could... More
