Very disappointing. Got a grunt from the staff when walking in which should have been a sign. Asked for no Parmesan on the pasta and it was all over it. The pasta itself had little flavour and was really just slop on a plate. Won't be back.

Bland food, warm beer, cold service. A group of us each had different meals and only one out of nine was remotely happy. Very average.

This was the 1st meal that we had in Auckland and we came here after being recommended by a friend. The atmosphere is lovely and very authentic. The waitress has a heavy accent too which is nice. The meals were ok, they weren't the best Italian that we've had before, but not the worst. My lasagne was a let down.... More

My son loves bolognese but he's only 2 years old so he can't eat an adult portion. I was therefore amazed that, not only was there no kids' menu, but they flat out refused to make a half portion for him. Furthermore while the bolognese he and my husband shared was quite tasty, the alfredo I ordered was more of... More

As an ex chef, I realise the importance of savouring flavours and quality of ingredients. All these were in evidence and I praise Covo for this. However, the portions were just too minimalist for the money charged, as was the drinks menu. Waitress a bit hopeless as couldn't understand English very well, but very pleasant. Quirky tiny place and worth... More

Great little Italian restaurant in Auckland. I recently did a cooking course in Italy and was shown how to tell real Italian food from touristy fare. This was the real deal.

I went here for my birthday party after having eaten there before and finding it quite nice. I booked weeks in advance- a table of 13. We got there, and were promptly ignored by ALL STAFF. When we asked for basic things like wine glasses or water, the waiter rolled his eyes. When we finally received our food, my boyfriend's... More

Cute Italian restaurant, no more than 10 tables inside and great atmosphere. We created our own pizza using items on the menu which they happily did, and I ordered a gnocci and changed the sauce to be vegetarian (it originally had pork in it). They did this easily, since they make their sauces fresh to order. Everything was delicious, service... More

We dined here for lunch. The potion sizes are VERY small for what you pay for, But overall its very nice food. Just don't ask to add on Parmigain cheese shaker for pasta or its a $5 charge per person additional . But the service makes up for it :)

Small restaurant. Easy to have conversation with whole table. Staff attentive. Wanted pasta meal before half marathon - we all really enjoyed our meals. Reasonable price, tasty, good portions. I would definitely go back.
