North bridge was jumping with the Fringe Festival in full swing. Looking for a drink whilst waiting for a restaurant table. Wine bar the sign said. Lots of places had queues. Not this one. Warning signs were there but we were gasping. Can we see the wine list. Sure. Had about 6 bottles listed. All rubbish. But we were desperate... More

I was just here for a catch up with a friend. We both ordered a lunch special $12 ( there's a choice of four and we both had steak with different sauces). Service average with a smile, but the food... steak was perfectly cooked, salad just enough and chips were tasty. But seriously the steak ... mmmm! I have traumatised... More

I booked a table for 11 a week in advance. Upon arrival we were in the back corner in the draft, with the smell of gas heaters. Service for drinks only came after we had to get up and ask a waitress to come to to table. When a corona was delivered, with no lime, a request was put in... More

Decided to try this small restaurant (attached to the Brass Monkey pub) for a weekend lunch rather than our normal weekday visit. To our surprise they still run special lunch and dinner meals on weekends. we had our favourite steak specials and it was reallly good value and accompanied a reasonably priced bottle of WA red wine.

Attached to the Brass Monkey but a world away in style! Called in for a quick wednesday lunch and enjoyed the lunch specials of Steak and Chicken parmi both with chunky chips and salad. All washed down with a very gluggable Yellowtail merlot. Service friendly but not great due to trainee server. Overall a very good quality and value lunch... More

My friend booked a table weeks ago and when we arrived our table was at the rear of restaurant, near the toilets and getting the smoke smell from the Brass Monkey Bar smokers area. Waitress broke a wine glass, it took about 20 mins for her to return with another. Asked for water that took a long time to arrive.... More

We were looking for the restaurant affiliated with the Brass Monkey bar since we had read a good review in the local paper; this seemed to be it, although it is rather small with few tables. Nevertheless, the food and wine were quite good. We split a starter of duck spring rolls, my wife had a tandori sandwich and I... More

I find myself running here when the Brass monkey is full of cretins. It's a little more pricey but it's cleaner and the vibe is more relaxing and safer. Try the Espresso margarita! It was a little to strong for me but it still tastes very nice.

The $12 specials ($15 with a glass of house wine or pint of beer) offer outstanding value in this expensive city. The quality is good considering the price. Part of The Brass Monkey, a big noisy pub, built in the old Western Australian style, with several rooms, mostly popular with young people but the GrapeSkin wine bar part manages a... More

We decided to go here before the Muse concert on Saturday night. We had a table booked for 6pm so the restaurant/bar wasn't busy. It took ages to order drinks and my drink didn't come in the first round so I had to ask for it again once we ordered drinks the second time around. The food was pricey and... More
