Loved nipping in out of the winter cold to grab a couple of hot chocolates. We sat at the long bar and enjoyed all the memorabilia on display. Genuine article. A must visit to any visitor to Melbourne.

Pelligrini's in Bourke St is a Melbourne institution. Simple menu - home-style pasta, granite to refresh on a hot summer day, perfect coffee and delicious home style Italian cakes cut by the slice. The cheesecake is a good example - barely sweet, flavoured with citrus...More

Lovely home style cooking in a cosy atmosphere. We will definitely be back. We had the seafood marinara and lasagna and thought that both these dishes was great :)

Recommended by a friend who insisted that this place is a must try if you like Italian. A glance into the kitchen convinced us. There's an Italian grandma making the food. We ordered a tomato pasta and seafood risotto with a few cups of coffee....More

Had a coffee and vegetarian ravioli. The coffee was amazing, the barista done a great job. The ravioli was ok. It was sloppy and squishy to eat. The sauce lacked depth and could have used some seasoning. It felt like they just heated up warm...More

The experience here is always reliable. Fantastic coffee and good basic fare you would expect from a southern Italian diner. The venue has original character that hasn't changes since it opened

Most seating is at the bars, I am not sure they take bookings.

I do not believe bookings are available. Its a very fluid atmosphere. You walk in, are seated on the benches and stools. Just ask the staff what specials or what is good to eat that day and they will recommend.
