I only had coffee and hot chocolate during my short stay around the corner. But this is a lovely cafe. Very easy to walk right by, but well worth the effort (even for a tea drinker). Located in the perfect spot after shopping, we were told to order the hot chocolate and that would be plenty. We did as recommended. The hot cocoa was simply to die for. Hot, smooth, chocolate, really wonderful chocolate flavor. It was delicious! If you like hot cocoa, you will not be disappointed. Before you leave check out the Tasmanian Leatherwood... More

Definitely a place to have a catch-up. This shop offers gluten free beverage, I would recommend the soy hot chocolate or the signature hot chocolate. The chocolate are abit over priced but it tastes really good. Friendly staff, decent atmosphere.

We went to Koko Black as we wanted a drink. The drinks taste very nice. Although, some of the items on the menu are reasonably priced and some are really expensive for what they are. The hot chocolate is an example of this. It costs $7 for a hot chocolate in a normal cup and this is just too expensive.... More

Always a port of call in Melbourne, this little café is such a delight! The hot chocolates and Mochas are to die for!! The staff are amazing and extremely courteous. I love the quaint little tables in the attic setting, reminiscent of Paris!!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
