This is a great restaurant to go for a night out with friends. The bar staff and table stafff are excellent. My partner cannot eat garlic or capsicum. No problems they picked out dishes on the menu that were okay and even made a variation of a mushroom dish on the menu that we thought was better than the original... More

Small and intimate. Music good and not loud. Have had beautiful sardines and grilled spicy tongue dishes. Lovely Cava. Crema with a sweet wine Muscatel was delightful too. Go there any time I am in town, hoping to work through the menu.

We showed up 1hr early and they were still able to accommodate us. Staff were awesome & very patient as it took us a little while to order. Loved the ambience of the place. The tapas were quite small but I loved the lamb cutlet...a must order!

Very nice indeed. Lovely inviting space. Atmosphere always very welcoming here. Stopped off for a last drink with colleagues. A rose which was very fetching. Service was warm and friendly. Wandered off into the night comforted and satisfied.

I went back after years and the miserly size of the dishes only reinforced the reason why I had not eaten there in a long time. All tasted nicely and the service was friendly and efficient, but, if not for the bread and butter, I would have been starving at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is also nothing... More

We accidentally visited this restaurant for lunch, and it was a delightful surprise. An excellent welcoming waitress. A fantastic aperitif and wonderful fresh food for lunch. Great ambience... small but quaint, quirky and a nice respite from midday shopping.

We were taken here by our chums on a recent visit to Melbourne. Very busy little place full of city types and tourists alike. Great tapas menu and pretty reasonably priced for Australia. All very tasty and it was only the accent of the locals who gave the game away that it was Down Under and not just off The... More

Lovely, helpful staff but was so disappointed with the food (except the cheese which let's face it takes zero prep), not a patch on Movida Hosier Lane where we dined just a few nights ago AND it was more expensive. Crazy to have so few Spanish wines on the list. Sadly will not be returning.

Have been meaning to go for years, and finally were in the city and needing somewhere for some food at 10pm and it was about two steps away, so we went. Sat at the bar and watched the barman make cocktails. Tapas were excellent, wine list by the glass was definitely excellent, service was there when you wanted it and... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
