Nicely decorated long bar with benches and chairs. Jazz music was being played which gave it a great vibe. Extensive drinks and cocktails menu as well as many meal options including light snacks. Will definitely return. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Look, this place isn't all that bad, if it wasn't for the crowds, especially on a Friday night. The staff are nice, and the fact that you enter the place through a door in a back alley just gives it heaps of character (and unless you know it's there you'll probably miss it, especially if looking for it from Swanston... The balcony here overlooks Swanston Street so you can watch the street life over a beverage. But from Swanston you are not quite sure how to get to it, which makes it feel a bit special. The staff are warm and friendly. The prices are reasonable.

One of my favourite Melbourne bars. I love the atmosphere. Great cocktail and wine list. Eggplant chips aren't what they used to be though. One person we were with needed some "drinkspiration" and the staff really did well with the concoction they made for him! Service is good. Still the best place in Melbourne to get an espresso martini!

Extra friendly staff, this tucked away rooftop bar is highly recommended. Small but with great ambience and an interesting wine selection.

I love this little bar. It's just a great Melbourne lane-way spot to go for a drink and have light and filling snack/s for lunch or dinner. Everything about the place is inviting, the lovely Parisian decor, the gorgeous & attentive staff, the great drinks list, all creates the perfect ambience for an afternoon or evening of great conversation with... Good range of drinks & food is fine. Service is hit & miss. Aim to get a spot on the balcony for some sunshine up above Swanston St.

Busy, happening little place. Great drink menu and delicious food...we had the pulled pork flat bread. Service was friendly but the night we went they were extremely busy and it was too loud to chat but otherwise a great spot to go out to !

Girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere nice in the sun to have lunch one Wednesday and found this little gem. $10 pizza specials and they were amazing! Delish!

This is an excellent go-to option for a CBD bar, in a handy location near the Town Hall and a few mins walk from Flinders St Station. Drink range is great - especially wine and cocktails - and there's a happy hour from 5.30. Plan to snack on the tasty tapas, including the quesedillas and the spicy nut mix. One... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
