We had a family dinner there on our last day of a 1-week holiday to Melbourne. After a cold welcome by the first waiter, everything went perfectly well. The rest of the staff was great: very helpful and attentive to the kids. The food was delicious from the starters (burrata, ham...) to the desserts (tiramisu, crème brûlée, pana cotta), passing... quick and friendly service ... bread was one of the best I've had in a long time ... crispy crust with chewy dough ... passatelli with zucchini and shrimps was above average

Dear David, thank you very much for posting this lovely feedback after your experience with us. It is always nice for us to hear our diners appreciate our food, service and ambiance. Heard varying reports about this restaurant so had to try it for ourselves. Not impressed at all. Service and attention to detail was appalling. Food was tasteless. Had to ask for various condiments or " do it for ourselves" . Hence not going back there ever again. Over rated and pretentious. Of Italy... but only just in name.

Took our mum here for a pre-show dinner on her visit to Melbourne. Service, food, ambience... faultless. We felt like we were sitting in Roma! And even Italian mumma was impressed. Grazie mille, we'll be back!!

The wine list in this place is amazing. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. Cheapest bottle $65 but it was delicious. The cheese platter was nice, could do with more crackers/bread. Staff attentive and intense!

This tiny restaurant was a mixed bag. There were 4 of us for dinner and we shared the antipasto platter and a carpaccio for starters. Both were terrific. Tasty and fresh. The platter was very generous too. For mains we all had pasta but with very mixed results. 2 good 2 not so much. The crab ragu was more tomato... More

Not only was the food here amazing, the atmosphere was just perfect. The waiters, all with Italian accents, make the entire experience a joy and are very professional. It is very low lit and romantic - perfect for a date night!

Great decor, warm welcome and fantastic food with good wine selection! Had a lovely evening from start to finish. Started with the oysters and antipasto with Chablis and then we had the linguine and raging with home made pasta. Not normally a big water but finished everything! Shared the panna cotta which was the only thing that didn't quite meet... More

Great Italian restaurant and well worth eating at. Authentic Italian with lots of Italian yelling in the kitchen. What more would you expect in a busy Italian kitchen, comes with the territory. Pleasant and worth the money. I will be back. I was there for wine tasting with the wine maker from the Barbaresco wine region in Italy. Done in... More

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
