Regular diner here. Boyfriend and I go here at least once a week. Our go to place for burritos. We look at the menus at other places that sell burritos and always compare them to this place, but they never measure up for value and taste. He likes to get extra sauce and the staff are always very friendly and... More

Every time I go to UniMelb campus for lunch, I grab a burrito from Zambrero's! A little pricey, but the food is amazing! Reminds me of Chipotle or Qdoba back in the State. Their rewards punch card is where it's at and when you are on your 10th visit, it's a free meal! Always a catch for the student life.

Well worth a visit - some of the tastiest burritos going - trust me once you leave the country you will struggle to find a burrito to match Zambrero's. Not really traditional Mexican food but it is really filling and yummy :)

The staff are very friendly, however the business is now charging $2 extra for a very small spoon of guacomole making a burrito in a bowl $12.90. Quite frankly the price does not justify the meal provided. They try to upsell the black rice and it makes it a very expensive lunch. The flavours of the chicken are quite bland... More

Had a few really great hard shell tacos in here. The There is a bit of a cafeteria feel to the place, though they do have some background music. Go here for the great food - not the atmosphere. Must be excellent place for take out.

Fabulous true Mexican food (not the tex-mex most places serve). Always fresh, so many options and great price! Service is always cheerful and helpful. If I lived closer, I would never cook again.

They've just opened in Melbourne, (apparently they're huge up in Canberra), and no doubt it's the best tasting burrito I've had in Australia. All fresh ingredients, seems pretty healthy too, which is a nice bonus! Short walk from Melbourne Central station too. Definitely recommend!

Great option for lunch in the city. Was getting bored with the limited variety. Love this healthy option! Tastes AWESOME!

Great place, have just discovered it. Really fresh and full of flavour, without the grease! It's quick and easy on your waist line and your pocket, Highly recommended for an alternative to 'fast' food places. Love, love, love Mexican, about time I say!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
