Had lunch here recently. Good selection of beer and wines, the staff were very friendly. Great spot with river views and watched the passing parade of a multicultural Melbourne.

Matcha chia pudding, fruit toast with marmalade and cappuccino is today"s breakfast order from The Boatbuilder's Yard. "Please order and pay at bar or BBQ", says the sign. I ordered at the bar and went off in search of a table, armed with a paging device and the marmalade. The toast came with blackcurrant jam and I just managed to... More

Great for watching all the action on the river, the service was excellent but the prices were dear for what you got. Nothing to write home about as far as the food.

The service at the bar was pretty average, I was waiting around one side for around 5 minutes to get a drink and when no one served I went over to the opposite side where there were staff only to be told to go around to the other side. When I asked for a Coke they only had Pepsi. Which... More

This review is based on drinks only. This is a very large, casual fun place directly on the river. The entire place is open air (at least during good weather) The staff are very friendly and attentive. The American Classic Rock music is a nice bonus. Recommend.

Having been here before for an afternoon drink on the river, I returned for breakfast and it was a disappointing experience. Food was average and when it reached the table it was cold. The wait was extensive after ordering and my meal arrived 25 minutes after my 2 friends so they were finished before I started. Service was poor and... More

Great location right on the yarra near south wharf, can get busy, people buying coffees. Food is generally good, prompt service , Staff always friendly. Waiting times for food sometimes goes out a little far.

In a quieter part of Melbourne on Sth wharf near DFO. We had a pretty solid lunch. A simple menu with something for everyone. Food was good, and also enjoyed the coffee. Maybe not the cheapest place around but was a treat after shopping over at DFO.
