"My best friend is the man who in wishing me well wishes it for my sake." - Aristotle. That quote came to mind (and I apologise for the SAKE word play) :) . But it was apt as I did have some trepidation prior to eating/drinking here as i had heard some mixed reviews, so didn't know how good the... More

New Years Eve.. Wasn't crowded, so service was good. King Salmon was excellent. Young Japanese waiter had difficulty understanding "salmon for two" and we received half a piece of salmon each, think he thought we meant "to share". Portions are very small, so recommend you order "sides" Finished with Sake cheesecake, popcorn, walnuts, Delicious! Unlike any Aussie cheesecake. Would go... More

This is a great local restaurant. The food is fresh and some dishes a bit more authentic than normal. Service is very good and worth checking out if you are on this side of the city.

Absolutely the best and most innovative Japanese cuisine in southern Australia. Have visited several times, and guests are highly impressed. Service last night (23 November) was a little rushed, due to high occupancy, but food presentation awesome. Only hiccup is a less than extensive wine list, though sake and Japanese whiskies availability is huge.

Just a fantastic dining experience. The scallops were the best I've ever had. I went with a friend who doesn't normally eat seafood and even she loved them. The octopus and the shrimp was great too. Really good prices and the service was excellent. The avocado dish was a little weird though and I wouldn't recommend it. It was literally... More

Our group was celebrating a successful event. They'd been here three years in a row, my first time. More kinds of sake than I've ever seen. We had 8 bottles of sparkling sake between us all. Service was fantastic, food was wonderful. I had gyoza, tempura prawns & veggies, edamame, king fish, and green tea ice cream for dessert, it... More

My wife and I weren't the only ones who seemed disappointed with the slow service and lack of concern from staff tonight. And it was a Saturday night. The family seated opposite us left an hour into arriving because only a plate of vegetables was served to them. They weren't too happy. We don't blame them. Another group of 4... More
