This restaurant has a lot of competition from close neighbours. It successfully stands its ground. We loved the risotto and spaghetti bolognese which was fresh, tasty and delivered promptly. Service was efficient and pleasant. The street buzzes in the evening and this restaurant really contributes to the overall ambience. Well done to the team.

We had lunch here on our arrival in Melbourne . Located in the famous Degraves Street we really enjoyed our lunch , the food was fresh , tasty and plentiful , the atmosphere was busy and humming as Melbournes workers and tourist went about their day. A great place to have a meal and coffee while in Melbourne.

My wife and I visited for breakfast a couple of times. Lively café with good service. Eggs were cooked just right. There is a small amount of seating inside but mainly outside. Good choice for breakfast.

Love the alley cafes...There is no room to move but you just strick up a cosmopolitan conversation with your neighbour. Food and wine is great with the best bustling atmosphere

We had breakfast here twice as it has great coffee, service and food. It's right in Degraves lane which offers a hype of activity and a great place to people watch! Lots of specials on offer too.

Open quite late on Degraves St which is convenient for me during business trip. young and friendly staff (mostly backpackers and nothing's wrong with it) and nice decent food. The price is a bit of a tourist trap but still acceptable.

Great breakfast! My partner had the monster sandwich which he said was one of the nicest breakfast meals he has ever had. Coffee was excellent too. Super busy so we had to sit inside, which was ok, but better on the street obviously. Will definitely go back.

Our welcome to this place was extremely positive- by staff member Kiki. We were a group of 6, mostly vegetarians. We were looked after very well. The staff were accommodating enough to accept our requests for minor changes. The food was wholesome and delicious. We left satisfied and happy - both with the food and service. Happy to visit again... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
