I hadn't been here in quite a few years so thought we'd come for lunch for our 15th Wedding Anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Our table was right on the window, with views out towards the Bay. The service was impeccable (every waiter/waitress had a smile and were very friendly, the food was delicious. We had a wonderful afternoon. We... More

No. 35 in the Sofitel is an amazing restaurant not only because of the great food, but also the stunning views. Even the restrooms have large glass walls overlooking the city. Check out that view!

We had a wonderful meal a few nights ago at No 35 with our waitress Michaela who was attentive and charming. The food came out quickly and could not be faulted, to be frank it was absolutely exceptional! The real cherry on the top was at the end of the night when trying to call an Uber (something we were... First trip to Melbourne, and was thoroughly encouraged to give No 35 a visit. I decided to dine on Sunday with a couple friends, and we were greeted/seated/de-coated warmly as soon as we arrived (despite getting a tad lost on the way in). Every staff member we encountered were beyond professional and friendly, and the view is just simply stunning.... More

We came to N35 for our anniversary with my partner. We had a lovely window table with an amazing view on the city. Our waiters were helpful and very efficient. The food was good and well-presented. Overall a memorable and good experience. Our only regret : the portions were a bit small for the prices...

Were seated at a window table overlooking Melbourne. It was lovely. The service was very good. We both had the steak which was tender and cooked to perfection. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and tasty. Is a very nice and roomy restaurant so you have your own space and no one is sitting on top of you.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
