Visit this cosy tucked away place and experience a tasty plate of local produce while enjoying a refreshing cool drink or a glass of red wine of the cooler days.

Terrible experience which resulted in us not staying there and being skinned for $500. Avoid it at all costs based on our experience.

We stopped here for a quick Friday morning breakfast and were not disappointed by the meals and coffee. The decor and layout of the restaurant is very stylish and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable, particularly given the restaurant is attached to a hotel. It looks like it could get a bit noisy in there if... More

Some restaurants have a menu where the are more items you fancy to choose from. And this is such a place. The next question is..... is ghe food just as good as it is on the menu? In this case it was. We enjoyed every bite and every zip of wine. My compliments to chef.

Found the little gem on a recent visit to Hobart. Had the special for that night which was lamb and pea pie. It came with the biggest pile of chips I'd ever seen amd they were superb. Chunky chips at their very best. We recommended them to several others in our group who all agreed. Everything was fresh and delicious... More

We were group of eight with no booking. We made to feel welcome and a table was organised. There was a good choice of meals. Even a vegetian option. The meals were large and the side order of rosemary chips very tasty. We had a very enjoyable evening.

This is a reasonably priced restaurant in Salamanca Place with good service and generous servings of well cooked food.

I recently read a review on Quarry and was quite excited by the reviewer's comment regarding the Cocktails and how good they were,, myself and my partner have enjoyed cocktails at the Birdcage Bar at the Wrest Point Casino and decided via the review on Quarry to try it out,,, to me and my partner's dismay the cocktails were not... Although this restaurant looks good from the street it is disappointing. The food is frankly indifferent and the service is not good. I tried the scallops which were crumbed until the flavour had gone with a completely tasteless salad. I ordered a Tamar shiraz but was served a ribena-like southern pinot. Although the error was acknowledged I was still charged... More

We walked around the harbour area of Hobart known as Salamanca, and it is full of great little restaurants with outdoor dining, but they were largely pizza/pasta places. The Quarry offered something a little different. Tastefully furnished, we ventured in and were greeted by friendly staff. Not a large menu, but varied and with lots of different tastes catered for.... More
