A great spot. Excellent food and super friendly staff. We had a large group and had the seafood platters. Wonderful. A must visit if you like italian food and great service with a smile.

First night back in Port Douglas this year. We decided not to cook and went to Sassi's. A great choice - carpaccio of beef, baked Hervey Bay Scallops, mussels in white wine and tomato broth, zuppa di pesce, and mango creme brulee. All washed down...More

We made a last minute booking and was not disappointed. We ordered 2 pastas and shared entrees and other items. Scallops were delicious as was the squid ink pasta. We each had enough room for the mango creme brûlée each, not sharing here. Was a...More

Fantastic Restaurant - we have to eat at least twice when we stay in Port Douglas, the staff are excellent one of the reasons we love coming back to eat here.

Hi we reserved online after looking around Port Douglas for something different. Overall the quality of the food was good. The dishes did not live up to the charming Italian sales pitch in terms of quantity or value for money. Listen carefully to the specials...More

We're so pleased you acknowledge the 'quality' of the food. However it never ceases to amaze us - even 'tho it shouldn't - that people use Trip Advisor as a form of revenge when they don't get a discount they feel they 'deserve'. Your conversation...More

Food was good, unfortunately the staff were not. I had the linguine and the pasta was not homemade, as you would expect from a Italian restaurant. Disappointing. A nearby table had the squid ink pasta, it was obvious that it was homemade. It took a...More

Yes shorts are fine. Our dress code is smart casual and we are in the tropics. As it's winter for us and we think it's a bit cool in the evening, - 22c - many wear long pants.
