Located in down town Cairns this Balinese restaurant is authentic from decor to food. You can choose from between set menus to ordering off the menu. We have been there for both lunches and evening meals. Try the mixed sates consisting of beef, chicken and pork. The beef redang is spicy but not too spicy for the Australian pallet. Finish... More

Beautiful atmosphere and food. Try the Marinated seafood, absolutely yum, Nasi Goreng also great lots of condiments. Was disappointed with Gadang gadang , satay veg but staff excellent and worth a visit

We were a party of four and we shared several plates. The food was delicious - we sat outside on a hot evening. Staff were efficient and helpful. We would return . One of our party is from Indonesua and he was very happy indeed!

Like many of the touristy places along the resorts of Cairns, Bayleaf is overpriced. What makes this less tolerable at Bayleaf is that it is a good 1-2 km from the main stretch and yet it costs even more than other places which have better food and are cheaper AND closer to the main portion of Cairns. The service is... More

As we were going to the Banff Film Festival we wanted to dine somewhere nearby and we are so lucky we stumbled upon the Bayleaf. Normally we avoid restaurants attached to hotels but had heard good things about the Bayleaf. Whilst the menu is not massive it has great variety for meat eaters and vegos. We went with crocodile satay... More

My husband and I visit Bayleaf each time we visit Cairns (which is twice a year). The restaurant is always a favourite. We love the poached chicken We salad, chicken soup and the Nasi Gorang is also nice. However, this restaurant could improve. We would love to have curry when we dine here but we have tried all the curries... More
