I found this place by accident, after arriving into Cairns, this restaurant was just down the road from my accomodation. So popped in for a late Sunday dinner, Service, food and atmosphere were on point.. definitely coming back to this Balinese culinary paradise.

This restaurant is definitely a favourite of mine. Delicious curries with seriously good flavour. Also thought the food was reasonably priced.

Each year I visit Cairns I eat at the Bay leaf. As my kids say, the food and service is "the balm", or something like that. Excellent experience. No restaurant in Brisbane comes even close to matching this one.

Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant has been a well loved and highly regarded restaurant in Cairns for many years, serving authentic Balinese cuisine. This multi award winning restaurant offers a true dining experience. Head Chef Made Upadana was trained in Bali at the highly regarded bumbu bali restaurant and cooking school and worked along side Heinz von Holzen the master chef and respected food writer of the Balinese Cuisine. Our signature banquet menu the Balinese Rijsttafel offers a feast of flavours and is highly recommended.
