Delicious food albeit slightly pricey, however the quality of the food outweighs the price. Ordered 2 entrees and 6 mains. All were fresh and delicious. Coral Trout was spot on, possibly the most delicious style of cooking Coral Trout i've ever tried. Would recommend to anyone seeking delicious Chinese food.

When visiting Cairns, we always stop in & have either lunch or dinner. Gerry & Cathy plus stuff are always good to us & are always attentive. The food is always as we expect & I truly cannot say that we have ever been disappointed. Keep up the good work Taste of China Restaurant!

We ordered a braised beef brisket and a stirred fried tung choi with preserved bean curd. The beef dish was great quality. Good size, and great flavour. Beef and the turnip were soft but texture was intact. Sauce was plentiful but not watery. The tung choi was a disappointment. The sauce was glue-ey, and the vege was nit hot or... More

Food was very good, traditional Chinese fare. Fresh and tasty. Service was OK, and a little pricey. I think that is indicative of Cairns full stop though.

We ordered salmon and it's good. The unfortunate thing is that they provide terrible customer service. Cairns is supposed to be a beautiful and multicutural city. Any person regardless of race should be treated equally. We were Asian not Chinese and seated next to Caucasian customers. The service was fast for them and were asked a few times if everything... Disappointed. One should not leave the restaurant feeling hungry after ordering the 'banquet'. Had to request one of the meals after they seemed to forget all about it. Stingie.

This place is worth going to for a healthy, solid & simple meal on a regular basis or for a special array of food for a special occasion. I really enjoyed the food my two colleagues and I ordered. See photo of the Ma Po Tofu. They additionally had wine, which they were happy with. I had jasmine tea. The... More

Fantastic food and service. They have a new chef from Shanghai via Sydney, and is a seafood specialist. We had Peking duck, steamed Garlic oysters, ginger coral trout, and prawn dumplings - all were excellent. I am of Chinese descent, so am pretty fussy about Chinese food. Can definitely give a thumbs up while this chef is in town.

Food was not fresh and very dry. We ordered various starters, some extremely salty, others extremely dry. For 4 starters we payed $AU80 this did not include drinks. The water was tap water and tasted off. We thought it was a complete waste of money and time waiting.
