Generous portions. The mushroom sauce was great. What ever you try, get the mushroom sauce. The crock and kangaroo sausages were a bit dry, but schnitzel was pretty good.

In Cairns for business, my colleague and I took a short walk to the Cock & Bull. Being a pub, we chose steaks which were perfectly cooked to our order and very generous portions. We ate in the Hall of Horns - various animals mounted as trophies, including a large moth-eaten lion. This aspect was certainly a talking point, if... More

Over the years I have been to this place 3 or 4 times and not once have I had a poor meal. There is plenty of cold beer and great pub food for either lunch or dinner

Reports of being huge servings are not wrong. Went here especially for the croc schnitty (always wanted to try one) and boy, wasn't it awesome. It was my first and definitely won't be my last. Serving was very generous and my partner struggled to get through the very hearty beef lasagne, so enjoyed a serving of that as well. Great... More

We went here with another couple for a casual meal. The atmosphere is ok, sort of dusty hunting/fishing lodge look. The staff were rather rushed and disinterested. The food was terrible! some of the worst we have ever had. Meat was tough and leathery, chips were soggy, and cold in the middle. The salad was the only thing that was... More

Great serving size you will never go away hungry. You may want to share as the portion size is so large. You order grilled meat at the grilling kitchen and all other food in the bar. Drinks are ordered at the bar. The place was hopping. We had the daily special : Mexican schnitzel and from the grill: crocodile patty... More

We really enjoyed our dinner here Meals are massive. There are two different ordering areas depending on what you are having and a bar for drinks. It's very old English style with stuffed animals everywhere. Definitely lots to look at. Most people were unable to finish meals as so big and yummy. Recommend for sure.

This place wasnt what we expected. We found it via TripAdvisor and it seems to be a meat eaters paradise with extremely large portions. However, its not for us. My partner thought his tbone was tasteless and my parmi was overloaded with herbs. It seems very popular and was busy. The table settings and lamps look great. But we won't... More

This is not a fancy wine n done place. If you want some good grub for great value then this is the place to go. Meals are huge. I didn't have the 🐔 parmer but that was huge just looking at it enough for 2 and still be full. We had the lamb shanks and chicken Kiev. If you like... More
